Letter to Mary R. Silsby, 1891 July 28.

Blood sends a copy of his "Shakspere" for inclusion in Mrs. Silsby's "Tribute to Shakespeare." He will exchange one of his plays for a copy of her book. He comments on her old Salem, Mass., name, noting that his wife's grandfather was mentioned in Hawthorne's preface to "The scarlet letter." In addition he mentions briefly his belief that Shakspere was Shakespeare, a book exchange with Kate Sanborn, and Edmund Clarence Stedman's "Library of American Literature." and extends an invitation to visit.
